today was a very, very sunny day and i went to the zoo. zoo praha is considered to be one of the best zoos in the world, occupying 111 acres of land, and housing "about 4,600 animals that represent 630 species from all around the world." the polar bears paced and paced.last week n. and i went to slovanský dům to see "he's just not that into you" ("až tak moc tě nežere") in english with czech subtitles. it was strange to see baltimore because the film didn't really look like baltimore.
and a new bead store opened on strossmayerovo náměstí, with excellent timing (i was beginning to wonder if there is one). the saleswoman looks like she would rather be eating thumbtacks, but the selection is very exciting!
a lot of it was filmed in LA. but it was fun to spot the baltimorish things- the baltimore sun newspaper bins, as well as the Domino Sugar sign outside Jennifer Aniston's apartment window.
