the russian poet marina tsvetayeva lived in prague from 1922 to 1925. here, she wrote "verses to the czech republic," "poem of the mountain," and "the rat-catcher." unfortunately i could not find an english translation for these poems, but her love and sympathy for this land and its people and all that they have been through, shine so clearly. tsvetayeva called her life in prague a "blue dream." for me it is a yellow dream...
